Putting a COVID-19 response plan into action

23rd March 2020

The COVID-19 situation continues to evolve rapidly. Like many of our clients, here at Capital Advisory, we’re taking our measures to ensure we continue operating. Most importantly, we’ll remain accessible for all of our clients. The landscape is changing on a daily basis – it’s important you contact us whenever you feel it necessary.

The health of our staff, clients and their families is important to us. Some of the measures we’re taking include:

We’ve separated our team, with half the team in the office and the others working remotely. This has been working well, with all systems operating as normal.

We’ve stopped all face-to-face meetings to minimise the volume of traffic going through our office. We’ll replace these with conference calls to ensure we keep up regular contact with our clients in the coming months. We’re also looking at options for video conferencing.

Our staff are following the advice of Government. We’re all practicing social distancing and other important hygiene practices.

We’ve been working over the weekend to prepare coronavirus disruption plans for our business clients. We’ll roll these out over the coming week. Where clients have existing plans in place, we’ll help to integrate further measures and steps wherever relevant.

The Federal Government has also announced the second stage of their economic support package, designed to cushion the blow for affected workers, businesses and the community. The package has 3 elements:

Regulatory protection and financial support for businesses to stay in business.

Assistance for businesses to keep people in a job.

Support for households including casuals, sole-traders, retirees and those on income support.

We can help you understand the package and how it can support your business. You can read the announcement about the economic support package on the Treasury website.

We’re keeping a close eye on Federal and State government announcements such as these. We’ll continue to share this important information with our clients, particularly relevant financial content. Keep an eye on our Latest News section, as well as our Facebook page.
